The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified Architect-Engineer (A/E) firms to provide complete design and cost estimation services to upgrade the existing obsolete Edwards EST-3 fire alarm system (Project No. 528A7-24-112) at the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Work includes upgrading the existing fire alarm control panels and remote annunciators, installing a new fiber loop network connecting all panels and a new master control panel, expanding the addressable system to additional campus buildings, removing the existing fireman telephone system, and developing a phasing plan that maintains continuous fire alarm protection throughout construction.
