The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the Operation and Maintenance of the Expeditionary Transfer Dock(ESD) vessels. The Contractor must operate and maintain the vessels to support the assigned missions. The vessels must be operated in a professional manner and maintained in a good operable condition, and must be mission ready at all times (excluding scheduled maintenance, repair and overhaul periods). The Contractor must operate the vessels and related systems and equipment in accordance with all relevant laws, terms of this contract, United States Coast Guard(USCG) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules and regulations that would apply as if it is owned by a non-government entity, which includes, but is not limited to, maintaining a valid USCG Certificate of Inspection and ABS Classifications(including all statutory certificates) at all times. This contract requires the Contractor to possess and maintain a SECRET facilities clearance and to employ personnel with SECRET security clearances.
